How technical notes are revised
This site contains material that originated in older articles about Rolex copies. When revising those articles, we preserve the useful subject matter but remove unsupported absolutes, outdated pricing, unrelated brands and statements that confuse genuine Rolex specifications with replica performance.
Source order
- Manufacturer documentation for genuine Rolex specifications.
- Movement-manufacturer documentation for calibres such as MIYOTA.
- Photos, videos and test results of the individual replica where available.
- Seller descriptions treated as claims until independently supported.
What we do not infer
We do not infer steel grade from appearance, water resistance from a screw-down crown, movement architecture from rotor decoration, or authenticity from marketing language. We also avoid “indistinguishable from genuine” claims because they do not help a reader evaluate construction objectively.
